SPLIT ART & REVIVAL – STORE
Concept
As the modern world constantly evolves and changes each day, so does my art. Each of the large art installations I’ve created will undergo a transformation, being broken apart and then brought back to life – a process of split art and revival. Through this transformation, the gridded map offers a unique perspective, allowing viewers to witness how the artwork gradually vanishes as people collect their segments. As the grid evaporates, it sparks new thoughts and draws attention to details that may have been overlooked when viewing the artwork as a whole. With each purchase, the message of the artwork is renewed. Collectors have the opportunity to gather pieces from different panoramas, which, when brought together, form a cohesive and harmonious whole.
How does it work?
View the overview gridded map to explore available pieces and select the one that speaks to you. As the grid falls randomly through characters and components during division, some segments may appear more abstract than others.
Certain collectors are drawn to the obscure abstract sections, finding them contemporary and engaging in the question of their identity. Others may prefer recognizable characters.
There is no right or wrong when it comes to collecting; it’s purely a matter of personal preference.
Utopian Ranch Studies
These three studies were made at the same time and represent the start of The Utopian Ranch. They were born from a love of fashion, childhood play with animals and paper dolls, along with the realization of Yves Saint Laurent’s use of paper dolls when he created his fashion lineup for runway collections. He enjoyed the playful nature they represented along with the ability to experiment with his work. This is my envisioning of gigantic paper doll play.

The first Ranch Setting is where I grapple with a dark side of fantasy along with entrenched contemplation of how much celebration to represent.
I visit a darker version of how The Utopian Ranch could be represented. Much study of the different feminine movements are first knowingly represented in this first rendition.

These two studies are meant to be viewed as one gigantic bombastic panorama. I lean into a more celebratory tone. I still represent the dark side of a fantasy but use it more to illustrate the resilience and capability of a feminist view. The protagonists are beauty, brains ,and brawn. They are enjoying the tenacity of ranch life and represent a well rounded and abundant personality. This universe is more than a lifestyle. It delivers a state of mind or maybe a movement.

Disclaimer: Please note that all cuts of the breakdown of The Utopian Ranch studies and component clusters from dress breakdowns will vary from what is shown on the website. Each is an original work of art so will very in component sizes and numbers of components added. The grid that shows The Utopian Ranch segments available are a guide to find your desired section for purchase. The sculptural effect and depth created for three dimensional illusion is partially obtained with heavy beading, rhinestones, and glitter. Cutting the thickness of this mixed media is hand done and proves a challenge to be exact in measurements and content. I view this body of work as a part of me and the best effort is made to represent this in every piece that is collected by you. The components that have little or no embellishment are as important as those that are all embellishment. they are all intended to add to the collective sculptural depth of The Utopian Ranch universe. The childlike craft style is purposeful and represents much research. Please refer to my thesis or The Utopian Ranch description for theory and intended philosophical content.
